Webmail is a really handy alternative to computer and mobile phone e-mail applications if you don't have access to your personal computer and you don't have a smartphone. You will be able to access your email messages through virtually any browser, so that you can remain in touch with people when you travel around and you go to an Internet cafe, for example. Webmail applications are rather advanced, so you will not only be capable to send out and receive e-mails, but you will also be able to use an address book, create a custom signature or even set up new folders, that can later on show up in your PC email app. You should know that the email messages shown in the webmail are the ones on the server, so in case you create an email address in a PC app while using POP protocol, the messages will be saved on your PC and they will not be available in the webmail. The solution in this case is to use the IMAP protocol when you set up your e-mails in a personal computer client.
